Manager, Patient Registration

Job Summary

Supervise patient access functions including registration and admitting, organizing personnel and prioritizing workflow to ensure efficient, customer-oriented processes. Evaluate and redesign registration procedures for maximum efficiency, create staffing schedules, and monitor departmental efficiencies. Provide leadership for hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff while maintaining current documentation and policies. Audit system input for data integrity, lead staff meetings, and respond professionally to customer complaints. Collaborate with revenue cycle leaders on system enhancements and ensure timely insurance verification. Remain available for after-hours on-call support to address departmental issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five plus years hospital registration experience
  • Three plus years supervisory experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data and use metrics to improve workflows, quality, and service outcomes
  • 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare registration, scheduling, pre-registration, clinic operations or revenue cycle operations
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and registration/financial systems and standard office software (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational standards
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and ability to de-escalate concerns while supporting patient access and experience
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple demands, and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Work Shift 7:15a-3:45p
  • FT/PT

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state guidelines within a county medical facility
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
