Job Summary
Oversee patient collections, accounts receivable performance, and financial recovery strategies to support organizational financial health. Develop and implement collection policies while managing relationships with external vendor agencies and representing the organization at court garnishment hearings. Conduct periodic account evaluations to track progress, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions for revenue cycle issues. Supervise team members through recruitment, training, performance reviews, and coaching to ensure high performance. Prepare month-end financial reports, performance summaries, and ad hoc analyses for management review. Ensure all activities comply with organizational standards and applicable government regulations while collaborating with cross-functional departments to enhance revenue cycle performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in finance or accounting
- At least three years of progressive experience within the healthcare industry, specifically in collections, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting principles, and revenue cycle operations
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including current trends and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of modern collection practices, principles, and compliance standards
- Competence with computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Epic, and other financial software
- Must be available for remote work in Virginia
