Job Summary
Manager or Senior Manager, Tax – Private Markets at KPMG. Lead tax advisory and compliance for ultra-high net-worth families, multi-generational family offices, and private-equity-backed businesses; build and manage client engagements and teams; drive business development and cross-practice collaboration; contribute to growth of the Closely Held Business/Family Office tax practice both locally and nationally. Responsibilities include serving as trusted advisor on strategic, operational, and financial matters, delivering analyses of gift, estate, and income tax issues, maintaining strong client relationships, and guiding engagements from planning through delivery. Senior Manager duties emphasize growth of the practice, leadership of engagements, and continued development of staff. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, CPA/EA/JD/LLM or equivalent, 5+ years of relevant HNW/family office tax experience (8+ years for Senior Manager), and proven client-service leadership and business development capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM
- Minimum five years of recent focused high net-worth individual, flow-through entity and family office tax experience in an accounting firm, organization, and/or law firm
- Experience leading multiple engagements and client service teams as well as developing and mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated ability in written and verbal communication to evaluate and articulate complex information
