Job Summary

Lead valuation engagements for financial services portfolios and instruments at KPMG, designing scope of work, overseeing day-to-day activities, and ensuring quality and accuracy of client deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated valuation solutions for banking, insurance, fintech, asset management, and related sectors. Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, mentor staff, and drive business development initiatives. Proficiency in cash flow modeling, loan portfolio analytics, and familiarity with CECL/loan accounting; experience with large data processing tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python) is preferred. Senior Manager responsibilities include scoping, budgeting, and contributing to practice management, methodology development, and training on loan portfolio valuation topics. Qualifications emphasize extensive valuation experience in financial services, strong communication, and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics/business or related quantitative field
  • Progress toward Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential; ability to obtain within one year if not already obtained
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in financial advisory and valuation within a business, valuation firm, or valuation practice of an audit, tax, and advisory firm
  • Experience with valuation of financial instruments and loan portfolios in financial services
  • Strong communication, analytical, and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to supervise and mentor staff; manage client relationships
  • Familiarity with CECL or loan accounting and interaction with loan portfolio valuation (preferred)
  • Experience with large data processing and analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python) (preferred)
  • Ability to lead engagements, manage scope, budgeting, and risk (Senior Manager)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related field (minimum)
  • Progress toward ABV credential; if not complete, plan to obtain within one year
