Job Summary
Manager or Senior Manager in Financial Services Valuation at KPMG leads and delivers valuation services for a range of loan portfolios and financial assets across banking, insurance, fintech, and asset management. Responsibilities include designing scope of work, overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring quality control, supporting fair value measurements for financial reporting and transactions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, building client relationships, mentoring staff, and contributing to practice management initiatives. The role requires strong cash flow modeling for loan portfolios, analysis of large loan-level datasets, and effective communication of valuation inputs and conclusions. Senior Manager adds responsibilities around risk management, budgeting, and business development, plus leading cross-office teams and driving methodology development within the EVS practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related quantitative field
- Progress towards ABV credential; must obtain within one year if not yet obtained
- Minimum five years of recent experience in financial advisory and valuation within a business, valuation firm, or valuation practice of an audit, tax, and advisory firm
- Strong finance and accounting background with experience in financial services (banking, insurance, fintech, asset management)
- Experience with valuation of financial instruments and loan portfolios; familiarity with CECLpreferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple valuation engagements and client relationships
- Experience mentoring and developing staff; team leadership capabilities
- Experience with large data processing and analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python) preferred
- Senior Manager Additional Qualifications: eight+ years experience in corporate/financial services valuation; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
Desired Qualifications

- Progress towards Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential
- Minimum five years of financial advisory and valuation experience in financial services
- Strong finance and accounting background
