Job Summary
Manager or Senior Manager, Financial Services Valuation at KPMG leads valuation engagements across banking, mortgage, CRE loans and other credit assets; designs scope, oversees delivery, quality control, and client relationships; requires five+ years in financial advisory/valuation; Bachelor's in accounting/finance; ABV progress; proficient in cash-flow modeling, loan portfolio analytics, data tools (Alteryx, Python); mentoring staff; Senior Manager adds risk management, pricing, budgeting, and practice leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of recent experience in financial advisory and valuation within a business, valuation firm, or valuation practice of an audit, tax, and advisory firm
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related quantitative field
- Progress towards completion of the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential; one year grace period to obtain designation if not yet obtained
- Meaningful, hands-on experience in the financial services industry (e.g., banking, insurance, fintech, specialty lending, Insurtech, asset management) with focus on credit/loan portfolio analytics and valuation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; analytical and financial modeling capabilities; ability to mentor and develop staff
- Experience overseeing multiple valuation engagements and managing client relationships
- Familiarity with CECL or loan accounting and how they may interact with loan portfolio valuation (preferred)
- Experience with fair value measurements of financial instruments for financial reporting and/or transaction support (preferred)
- Experience with large data processing and analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python) (preferred)
- ABV credential progression is expected; ongoing professional development and training goals
