Job Summary
Manager, Ops, Materials position responsible for maintaining production standards to meet customer requirements, including scheduling, communication, labor controls, and efficiency standards. Ensures quality and customer service at a high level daily. Oversees labor controls, interdepartmental communication, staff development, and prepares administrative reports. Travels up to 10% and works in a fast-paced production kitchen environment with potential long shifts. Budget and revenue considerations are linked to unit performance; collaborating with management to improve unit performance and ensure safety, quality, and compliance with customer specifications. Requires strong leadership, training ability, and the capacity to manage up to 50 direct or indirect reports in a high-volume setting; bilingual ability in Spanish is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent required
- Some college preferred
- Must have 3 years of supervisory/management experience, scheduling and financial acumen
- In-flight catering experience is highly desired, or experience in a high-volume food service industry
- Current or previous labor relations experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience with menu design a plus
- Must have strong leadership skills and successfully manage staff assigned to liquor and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to train others required
- Must be able to give negative and positive feedback to employees on a daily basis
- Excellent time management skills required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills required
- Must be innovative and able to make changes to improve operation
