Job Summary

Manage and coordinate activities of the production department while overseeing production supervisors. Develop performance metrics for safety, service, quality, and cost improvement. Implement good manufacturing practices and drive safety programs. Maintain communication within the manufacturing department and determine staffing needs. Ensure compliance with company policies and develop processes for consistent workmanship. Mentor supervisors and lead continuous improvement projects. Involvement in company events and customer interactions may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of 7 years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 10+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Five years in an operations management capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people
  • Demonstrated achievement in building and leading a high-performance team
  • Demonstrated ability in driving continuous improvement
  • Computer aptitude in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ERP software
  • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations
