Manager - Operational Excellence

Job Summary
Develop, implement, and manage operational excellence strategies aligned with company goals. Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis, root cause analysis, and waste reduction. Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects from conception to completion. Train, mentor, and coach employees on operational excellence methodologies. Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track initiative progress. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D. Document best practices, standard operating procedures, and process flows. Prepare and present reports on activities and achievements to senior management. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing significant operational improvement projects with tangible results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and motivate teams
- Proficiency in process mapping tools, statistical software (e.g., Minitab), and project management software
- Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and pharmaceutical industry regulations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt
