Manager Operating Room and PACU

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Operating Room and PACU, including staff education, quality management, budget control, and resource utilization. Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor clinical indicators, and ensure compliance with provincial regulatory standards and accreditation requirements. Recruit, onboard, and mentor nursing and support staff while optimizing staffing models for ambulatory surgical care. Partner with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and proceduralists to drive seamless service delivery and implement innovative changes to the care delivery model. Manage inventory levels, equipment procurement, and emergency preparedness protocols for procedural sedation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses
- 5 years of experience in Perioperative Services/Operating Room
- Recent relevant managerial experience
- Demonstrated success in leading initiatives, developing policies, inspiring creativity and innovation, and building consensus to achieve set goals in alignment with program and organizational priorities
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, enabling the recognition, analysis, and resolution of problems proactively and as they arise
- Proven ability to work effectively and maintain composure under pressure or in stressful conditions, while managing multiple and competing deadlines
- Satisfactory passing of a criminal record check/vulnerable sector check
- Proof of Immunization and TB records
