Manager, Open-end Fund Accounting (CLO)

Job Summary
Lead fund accounting for a diverse portfolio including open-end funds and CLOs; supervise monthly/quarterly closing processes, pricing, expense accruals, and reconciliations; ensure books reflect transactions and accurate cash/position reconciliations; ensure compliance with U.S./U.K./IFRS accounting rules and coordinate regulatory filings; oversee annual financial statement audits and collaborate with external auditors; manage client fund activity, income/expense allocations, and distribution waterfalls; support automation and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance; interact with third-party administrators, custodians, directors, legal and tax; require strong Excel capability and familiarity with Geneva systems; CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis
- Excellent understanding of accounting and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting rules
- Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with Geneva and/or Geneva World Investor accounting systems is a plus
- Experience with PowerBI, Alteryx, or other data analytical tools is a plus
- Working knowledge of CLOs and Risk Retention Vehicles a plus
Desired Qualifications
- CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification is a plus
- Experience with Geneva and/or Geneva World Investor accounting systems is a plus
- PowerBI, Alteryx, or other data analytical tools is a plus
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis
- Excellent understanding of accounting and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting rules
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent work ethic
- Great organizational skills and ability to prioritize and handle complicated work efficiently and effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively both individually and as a team
- Ability to understand and resolve complex problems
