Job Summary
Develop and implement volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies to grow participation across organization-wide projects and special events. Lead volunteer logistics, staffing, and systems management while overseeing communications, databases, and program evaluation for Ambassador and Tree Tender initiatives. Build relationships with community partners, groups, and returning volunteers to coordinate educational opportunities and appreciation events. Manage day-to-day operations, reporting, and continuous improvements while collaborating with program managers, development, and marketing to expand volunteer opportunities. Requires full-time status, $47,800-$51,000 salary, and physical ability to lift 50lbs, walk outdoors, and operate a trailer.
Required Qualifications
- Physically able to lift heavy items (up to 50lbs.) consistently throughout a regular workday
- Comfort walking, standing for long hours, and withstanding working outdoors in all seasons
- Ability to accommodate seasonal nature of workload, including working weekends and/or evenings as needed
- Valid driver's license with six points or fewer
- Ability to or willingness to learn how to pull a 25' long trailer behind a full-sized pickup truck

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 3-5 years of volunteer management, community engagement, nonprofit program, management, or related experience preferred
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and volunteer management software preferred
- Proficiency in a language other than English (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole, Chin, Tagalog) preferred
