Job Summary

Direct the asset management technology strategy and integrity for the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including GIS management, asset records, and reporting for wastewater sewer infrastructure. Manage CMMS training programs, coordinate cross-functional technical projects with Operation and Maintenance and Information Technology, and ensure all application updates are tested prior to rollout. Establish and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for stormwater, wastewater, and asset data monitoring to maintain compliance with EPA regulations and the NPDES Permit. Lead the Systems Integration team by conducting staff meetings, setting goals, and providing coaching to support strategic plan objectives. Prepare status reports, develop data standards, and continuously improve business processes for asset and maintenance data management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology or a closely related field
  • Five (5) years of experience in managing data collection and control to ensure consistent and accurate monitoring, collection, documentation and interpretation of data
  • Two (2) years of supervising, managing and/or leading people, projects and/or processes
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record in accordance with the Sewer District's acceptable guidelines
  • Knowledge of GIS and EPA regulations and asset management best practice principles
  • Effective written and verbal communication, organizational skills and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to effectively plan, coordinate, establish and maintain effective working relationships and prioritize workloads based on available resources
  • Ability to read, interpret and write plans, specifications and project schedules
  • Ability to use, analyze and update automated maintenance programs and processes to effectively initiate and manage instrumentation and process control systems to meet/exceed Sewer District metrics
  • Public speaking, attention to detail, organizational skills and time management skills to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to lift from waist to shoulder up to 10 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Ability to withstand faint to moderate noise exposure for fifteen minutes or longer on an infrequent basis
  • Exposure to environmental conditions such as respiratory hazards
