Job Summary
Manage multiple software engineering teams in JPMorganChase's CONSUMER & COMMUNITY BANKING. Lead day-to-day implementation activities, set team output and collaboration standards, anticipate inter-team dependencies to deliver products aligned with business requirements and compliance standards, and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion. The role emphasizes backend development with Java/Spring Boot in a microservices architecture, cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform on AWS, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, databases including Postgres/Cassandra/MongoDB/Redis, event streaming via Kafka or RabbitMQ, and DevOps/SRE practices with CI/CD (Jenkins) and observability tools (Splunk, Grafana). Preferred AWS cloud certification and experience with observability/reliability engineering, performance tuning, and secure coding practices.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Proficiency developing backend services in Java with Spring Boot within microservices architectures
- RESTful web services and APIs
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform on AWS
- Docker and Kubernetes for containerization/orchestration
- Relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDB, MongoDB, Redis)
- Event streaming with Kafka or RabbitMQ
- DevOps/SRE practices with CI/CD (Jenkins) and observability (Splunk, Grafana)
