Job Summary
Lead, coach, and empower a team of software engineers to build world-class SaaS applications within a microservices architecture; hire, onboard, and develop talent; foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement; establish engineering best practices and development standards; partner with Product, DevOps, QA, and other stakeholders to define, develop, and release features; align priorities with leaders of other scrum teams to drive cross-team delivery; support career growth and performance through mentoring and development planning; maintain technical leadership through architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews; balance speed, quality, and operational excellence in delivering scalable software.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of people management or software development leadership experience
- 5+ years of experience working on a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform or similar web-based business
- Demonstrated success leading engineering teams and delivering scalable software solutions
- Language-independent programming skills with familiarity in Python and Node.js
- Experience leading the building and operating of microservice-based applications
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders
- A passion for developing engineers, building strong teams, and driving engineering excellence
