Job Summary
Manager of Social Services – Full-time leadership role overseeing the Social Services Department. Plan, direct and coordinate all operational activities; develop policies and procedures and quality improvement programs; develop capital and operating budgets; Staff recruitment and retention; ensure regulatory compliance with federal/state guidelines (e.g., JCAHO, Medicare, CMS); drive positive employee engagement and customer satisfaction; manage quality and performance improvement activities; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; maintain appropriate staffing and oversee discharge planning and homelessness case management; require MSW and eligibility for licensure as an LCSW (preferred). Strong leadership, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and incident-free operations skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred
- 2 years of general acute care / experience
- Experience in trauma/stroke and homelessness case management/discharging planning preferred
- Ability to manage department employee regulations/HR issues
- Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects
- Diversity in workforce collaboration
- Microsoft and computer skills
