Job Summary
Lead a remote school counseling team in Florida, providing direction to staff and ensuring students successfully complete instructional programs. Manage K-12 counselors through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations while overseeing Personal Learning Plans, course selection, and graduation requirements. Direct crisis intervention, handle escalated student problems, and implement prevention and management plans for the School-Based Threat Management Team. Coordinate state testing logistics, support Advanced Placement and college entrance preparation, and maintain accurate online transcripts. Assist families with enrollment, withdrawals, and resource navigation, requiring occasional evening hours and state-wide travel for testing administration.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years school counseling and management/leadership experience
- Florida Professional Teacher Certification in School Counseling
- Strong knowledge of Florida graduation requirements and school accountability framework
- Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office and Google products)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced virtual environment
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting
- Travel across the state is required for state testing administration, which may include overnight travel
- Ability to work and manage a team remotely
- Willingness to work some occasional evening hours as needed to support students and families
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication
Desired Qualifications
