Job Summary
Manager for Safety, Quality, & Compliance responsible for implementing and administering EH&S programs at the venue, maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Oversees training, auditing, industrial hygiene, workers' compensation, and hazard identification/correction. Supervises Engineering Control Operations and staff for daily and event operations; administers EH&S programs and policies; coordinates industrial hygiene testing; conducts venue inspections and audits; leads incident investigations; ensures timely accident/injury reporting; supports development and implementation of safety policies; collaborates with vendors and management to address safety deficiencies; requires ability to travel and work extended or flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Education in related field preferred with degree completion within one year; certifications a plus; background check required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Engineering, or similar field is preferred but must be able to complete degree within one year of hire
- Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE, EPA, NEC
- Experience managing multiple regulatory compliance programs (e.g., Toxic and Hazardous Substances, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Confined Space, Respiratory, Hearing Conservation)
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Experience supervising Engineering Control Operations and other department managers
- Contractor safety management experience
- Read and comprehend blueprints, and other related materials
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office
- Ability to develop and implement EH&S policies and procedures
- Experience leading incident investigations
- Experience organizing EH&S documentation and audits
- Knowledge of incident reporting requirements
- Experience with OSHA compliance and regulatory reporting
- Ability to train and audit staff on safety programs
- Strong hazard analysis and safe work procedures development
- Experience with environmental, health and safety program administration
- Ability to interface with outside vendors and stakeholders
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with inventory and management of safety data sheets (SDS)
- Ability to coordinate occupational health and safety testing
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workloads
- Experience with event safety management
- Familiarity with industrial hygiene monitoring
- Experience with workers' compensation processes
- Experience with policy development and program administration
