Job Summary
Lead and manage technical operations across all aspects of food manufacturing, ensuring adherence to regulations and industry standards. Oversee laboratory operations and certifications, manage lab techs, and maintain lab audits. Develop quality assurance programs, conduct audits, and identify areas for enhancement. Drive process improvements and implement new technologies for manufacturing efficiency. Oversee R&D teams, provide technical expertise for product development, and coordinate with sales for sample submissions. Manage customer complaints, lead investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges. Stay updated on food safety regulations, manage compliance, and lead technical projects from inception to execution.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Knowledge of microbiological and chemical laboratory operations
- Ability to develop and implement quality assurance programs
- Experience in research and development
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA)
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Experience in project management, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
