Job Summary
Monitor inspections and maintenance operations procedures to ensure the highest degree of safety is maintained while preventing and correcting inspection problems or discrepancies. Establish, audit, and approve outsourced vendors, including overhaul facilities and contract maintenance providers, ensuring compliance with the Continuous Analysis and Surveillance Program (CASP) and General Maintenance Manual. Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) by performing safety risk analysis and management functions, maintaining CASP and safety database entries, and promoting a positive attitude toward safety and compliance within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanic certificate with both airframe and power plant ratings
- Held airframe and power plant ratings for at least 3 years
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience on different types of large airplanes with 10 or more passenger seats
- Experience with an air carrier or certificated repair station
- 1 year of experience as a maintenance inspector or quality assurance auditor
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Demonstrated knowledge and full understanding of the CFR, 14 CFRs and the maintenance and airworthiness requirements
- Currency in the training as defined in National Airlines' General Maintenance Manual
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
