Job Summary
Manage a high-performing quality and lead agency team responsible for system planning, performance management, and quality improvement. Provide direct supervision to Data Analyst and Lead, Health System Planner roles while partnering with clinical leaders to implement evidence-based programs and guidelines. Analyze local healthcare data and community input to identify trends, service gaps, and establish planning priorities for the southwest region. Lead implementation of annual quality improvement plans, manage CARF accreditation cycles, and coordinate data dashboards to support complex projects. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus on planning recommendations and monitor performance regularly with partners. Contribute to developing funding requests and working with budgets to ensure alignment with organizational strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in health leadership, health administration, social sciences, health planning, business administration, or equivalent
- 5 years' experience working in health system planning, leading and implementing quality improvement, in a healthcare of community setting
- 3-5 years of leadership experience, with experience as a people leader
- Proven understanding and experience with embedding quality improvement initiatives
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- 2 Step TB test
- Vulnerable Sector Check/Broad Record Check
Desired Qualifications
- Quality improvement training from the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI), certification in LEAN and/or Six Sigma
- Change management training from Prosci
- Project Management training and PMP certification
- Highly proficient with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
- Expert knowledge of planning and analysis methodologies, enabling effective recommendations
- Strong understanding of the current and changing dynamics of the children's mental health sector and issues
- Demonstrated financial competence and experience developing funding requests and working with budgets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and work effectively with other staff and to liaise with colleagues across the southwestern region and the province
- Uses information to make informed decisions and provides advice; exercises a high degree of independence and professional judgment in problem solving
- Commitment to incorporating cultural competence and equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging into all aspects of work
