Job Summary
Manager of Public Relations to lead all aspects of media relations for Crystal Mountain year-round resort. Responsibilities include creating and distributing external/internal communications, generating earned media through press materials, serving as primary spokesperson for media interviews, building partnerships with travel and lifestyle media, drafting talking points and social content, coordinating media visits and events, and supporting brand awareness and revenue growth. Requires five years in communications or PR, strong written/verbal communication, storytelling across multiple channels, outdoor recreation enthusiasm, photography/editing skills, and proficiency with MS Office, WordPress, and media/databases. Education: BA in Journalism/Public Relations/Marketing/Communications or equivalent with relevant experience. Evening/weekend work, travel readiness, and a demonstrated network in travel/outdoor media are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum BA degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or equivalent
- Five years of work experience in communications, journalism, advertising and/or public relations in a corporate or agency setting
- Five years of experience and advanced skills in communications; experience with still and video photography and editing; ability to host groups; network with media; proficiency in MS Office Suite and WordPress; ability to travel; hospitality experience preferred
- Education: Minimum BA degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or equivalent and five years of work experience
