Job Summary
Oversee daily activity of a six-person project management team, monitor reports, and provide feedback to ensure performance standards are met. Schedule and approve time-off, conduct annual performance reviews, and handle escalated issues from the customer service team. Guide team members through challenging situations, evaluate current processes and productivity, and maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors. Communicate weekly with the Director of Customer Relations to review updates and address team issues. Manage recruitment, training, and development of project managers while ensuring adherence to company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with a variety of individuals and functions throughout the company
- Computer Proficiency with MS Office Applications
- Ability to read simple CAD drawings
- Must be logical with a strong attention to detail
- Must have strong organization and time management skills
- Must have a strong ability to manage relationships with customers, distributors and co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Must have the ability to handle difficult/crucial conversations with employees and peers
- Strong analytical skills, and proficient in the use of statistical tools in problem solving
- Self-motivated and excited by the prospect of working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
- Must have leadership skills with the drive to teach, develop and mentor other members of the team
- Minimum 5+ years of management experience leading a team of 5 or more employees
- A strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Previous experience in providing support to a sales team
Desired Qualifications
- Secondary education (specifically in business/administration) is an asset
- Experience with SAP is an asset
