Job Summary
Lead a policy-focused team to develop, analyze, plan, and coordinate department-wide policy initiatives in climate and environment regulation. Guide policy development, regulatory frameworks, and planning tools; coordinate legislative and Cabinet work; support business planning, risk management, and accountability processes; foster collaboration with internal and external partners to advance shared priorities and strengthen policy and planning practices; manage human and financial resources to deliver on priorities; provide strategic advice and briefing materials to senior leaders on complex issues; oversee access to information and executive processes; contribute to modernization objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- several years of progressive management experience
- experience leading strategic planning, policy development, and executive processes
- strong knowledge of legislation, regulations, policy development, and government decision-making processes
- ability to work across government and with external partners to build relationships and move work forward
- experience leading strategic planning, corporate reporting, and access to information and records management
- clear communication and leadership of teams through competing priorities
