Job Summary
Manages the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of all MEP systems, equipment for Facilities Management including water, sanitary, steam, gas, electric, air handling systems, fixed equipment, rolling and moveable mechanical equipment, boiler, generator, chiller plants, medical waste disposal, and recycling programs. Requires a bachelor's degree and values professional engineering licensure as desirable. Possesses five years of progressively greater responsibility in facilities management with experience in healthcare settings, environmental monitoring, and compliance with NYS codes, JCAHO regulations, and DOH requirements. Lead and supervise operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient hospital infrastructure and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) years progressively greater responsibility in facilities management
- Experience operating, maintaining, and supervising a variety of MEP systems in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with environmental standards and ability to perform environmental monitoring
- Working knowledge of NYS codes, JCAHO regulations, and DOH requirements
