Job Summary
Manager of Operations leads the Springfield, OR production facility (~40 team members) responsible for mechanical services and producing covers for paper machine rolls, with accountability for achieving safety, quality, efficiency, production, and profitability targets. The role shapes the site strategy and operational plan, develops and leads the site leadership team, and drives continuous improvement and Lean/OE practices. Partnerships with Sales and Product Management to meet customer expectations; leads site improvement projects and capital projects; communicates performance results and aligns expectations. Requires 5+ years of leadership experience (including at least 1 year in operations), a technical or business bachelor's degree (or equivalent), and experience with Lean manufacturing, ERP/MRP systems, and data analytics tools (e.g., JD Edwards, Power BI, Pyramid BI). Onsite full-time at Springfield, OR with occasional domestic and international travel. Strong coaching, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, including at least 1 year in operations management
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of operational excellence/lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and data analytics tools, including JD Edwards, Power BI, Pyramid BI
