Manager of Operational Accounting

Job Summary
Lead the monthly rolling forecast, budgeting, and financial projection process across multiple business units and regions. Develop and reconcile financial models to support operational planning, validate vendor rebate programs, and manage indirect cost methodologies. Partner with Operations and Executive Leadership to align forecasts with business objectives, facilitate recurring financial review meetings, and prepare executive-level reports. Supervise and mentor accounting team members while driving continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting accuracy. Support month-end close activities and analyze performance variances to recommend strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Progressive accounting and finance experience
- Proven experience managing forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, and month-end close processes
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-region financial operations
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational accounting principles
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
- Ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insights
- Ability to build strong relationships across Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership
- Ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day financial operations
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience within construction, project-based, manufacturing, or multi-location organizations
- Hands-on experience with financial planning systems
- Workday Adaptive Planning experience
