Job Summary
Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations and timely delivery. Manage inventory levels, update procurement system settings including lead times and reorder points, and coordinate with departments to meet production needs. Direct the functional team through hiring, performance appraisals, budget management, and training programs while implementing strategies to reduce stockouts and optimize inventory turnover. Analyze material trends with the Manager of Forecasting to adjust procurement strategies and track usage and costs to inform decision-making. Facilitate cross-functional communication to align material availability with project timelines and ensure compliance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or logistics
- At least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices

- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPSM)
