Manager of Literacy Interventions

Job Summary
Oversee dyslexia programming across a portfolio of KIPP Texas schools, ensuring implementation aligns with TEA requirements, IDEA, and state regulations. Conduct regular audits of documentation, service logs, and progress monitoring data to maintain compliance and instructional fidelity. Coach Assistant Principals of Student Support and Literacy Facilitators on evidence-based Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention systems and the science of reading. Develop staffing plans and intervention schedules to maximize student access while minimizing instructional disruption. Monitor caseloads, analyze student data to adjust groupings and dosage, and support campuses in preparing for internal audits and cyclical reviews. Design professional learning for campus teams on dyslexia compliance and effective intervention practices. Hybrid work three days a week with minimal travel to regional offices or other school sites.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Reading, Literacy, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- Valid Texas teaching certification
- Texas Dyslexia certification/training (e.g., CALT, Certified Academic Language Therapist, or equivalent structured literacy training)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in literacy intervention, dyslexia services, MTSS, special education, or related instructional leadership roles
- Experience coaching teachers, interventionists, and/or campus leaders
- Ability to move about inside and outside the school throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation for travel between campuses
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions
- Hybrid work arrangement (three days a week at schools or central office)
Desired Qualifications
- Principal certification or instructional leadership experience
- Experience working within Texas public schools and knowledge of TEA dyslexia requirements
- Demonstrated experience implementing evidence-based literacy interventions and supporting struggling readers across Tier 2 and Tier 3 systems
- Preferred certifications include Special Education, ELAR/Reading Language Arts, ESL, and Bilingual
