Manager of Literacy Interventions

Job Summary
Oversee dyslexia programming across a portfolio of schools, ensuring implementation aligns with TEA requirements, IDEA, and state regulations. Conduct regular audits of documentation, progress monitoring data, and instructional fidelity while coaching APSS leaders and Literacy Facilitators on evidence-based Tier 2 and Tier 3 systems. Develop staffing plans, intervention schedules, and standard operating procedures to improve student outcomes and maintain compliance with IEPs and Section 504 plans. Facilitate professional learning for campus teams on the science of reading and progress monitoring. Hybrid work schedule includes three days in the office and minimal travel to regional sites.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Reading, Literacy, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- Valid Texas teaching certification
- Texas Dyslexia certification/training (e.g., CALT, Certified Academic Language Therapist, or equivalent structured literacy training)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in literacy intervention, dyslexia services, MTSS, special education, or related instructional leadership roles
- Experience coaching teachers, interventionists, and/or campus leaders
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions
- Hybrid work availability (three days a week at schools or central office)
Desired Qualifications
- Principal certification or instructional leadership experience
- Experience working within Texas public schools and knowledge of TEA dyslexia requirements
- Demonstrated experience implementing evidence-based literacy interventions and supporting struggling readers across Tier 2 and Tier 3 systems
- Preferred certifications include Special Education, ELAR/Reading Language Arts, ESL, and Bilingual
