Job Summary
Oversee land survey projects from inception to completion, maintain client contact, produce survey-related projects with AutoCAD Civil 3D, mentor field staff, prepare field/calculation work, schedule field activities, enforce field standards and quality control, recommend equipment purchases, verify field data, provide on-site supervision, participate in recruiting and evaluating new hires, and liaise with Leadership and Project Managers to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess the Professional Land Surveyor licensure in Illinois or ability to obtain within 1 year
- Advanced knowledge of survey field procedures
- Advanced knowledge of survey equipment and software (Trimble a plus)
- Ability to evaluate field data and perform survey calculations in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to oversee and manage a project team of field survey staff
- Verbal skills and organizational ability to communicate with project managers and staff
- Time management skills
- 5-10 years relevant experience in land development (commercial, industrial, single-family, etc.) and municipal development projects preferred
