Job Summary

Manager of Insurance Follow-Up & Appeals oversees the client accounts insurance follow-up and appeals within the revenue cycle. Provides leadership, supervision, ongoing feedback, and coaching for the team; supports daily census reporting and month-end processes; ensures accurate, timely client account follow-up; maintains staffing coverage and processes accounts to completion; documents activity in client account notes; identifies trends that inhibit timely payment; ensures timely processing of claims and reflects current information; coordinates with facilities and medical records for resolution of disputed/denied claims and monitoring of appeals; directly manages the Insurance Collections Supervisor; trains team members on new/updated processes; requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of insurance billing and collections experience and 3+ years of supervision experience; preferred Bachelor’s degree and behavioral healthcare experience.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of experience with insurance billing and collections
  • Three (3) years of supervision experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare preferred
