Job Summary
Oversee radio communication and electronic security systems for Corrective Services NSW across correctional and community facilities. Provide expert advice, project management, and reporting on current systems and future requirements, including travel across NSW to repair and maintain equipment. Monitor staff development, establish controls for breach detection, coordinate acquisition, programming and maintenance of CSNSW 2-way radio fleet, conduct facility audits, and supervise contractors to ensure system performance meets contractual obligations. Requires Certificate III in Electronics and Communications with proven industry experience and the ability to operate across secure government environments; includes driving throughout NSW and managing diverse radio and electronic security systems.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Electronics and Communications, plus recent proven industry experience
- Knowledge and experience working with radio communication systems including system design, installation and asset management
- Knowledge and understanding of radio communication system requirements in a secure government environment including controls and processes
- The ability to respond and provide technical assistance, project implementation, repairs and advice across a diverse range of radio communication and electronic security systems
- Current Drivers Licence with ability and willingness to drive throughout NSW
