Job Summary
Lead and inspire officers and inmates to achieve operational goals while overseeing daily operations to deliver safe, efficient, and effective outcomes. Drive inmate programs across employment, education, and vocational training, and provide strategic advice on procurement, contracts, and business operations. Manage budgets and resources to maximize performance, build strong stakeholder relationships, and deliver results in a high-pressure environment using business systems to monitor performance. Requires current Certificate III in Correctional Practice, relevant trade qualifications, and experience managing competing priorities. Full-time role with salary of $154,594 pa plus superannuation and leave loading.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant trade and tertiary qualifications
- demonstrated management experience in areas such as business management, textiles, commercial cooking, waste management, cleaning operations, horticulture, laundry operations, furniture or building-related industries
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice
- willingness to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice within timeframe set out by CSNSW
- Current NSW Driver Licence
- ability and willingness to travel to locations as required
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing operational and business requirements
- Experience managing budgets, resources and competing priorities to achieve business objectives
- Knowledge and experience using Business Management Systems, such as Pronto, SAP or QMS
- Strong computer and digital skills
- ability to navigate departmental systems and electronic platforms
- Excellent time management, problem-solving and organisational skills
- The ability to think logically, strategically and commercially, while making sound decisions in a high-pressure operational environment
