Job Summary
Manager of Implementation at OTAVA to lead the delivery of customer projects across cloud, infrastructure, security, backup, and disaster recovery. Own the delivery lifecycle from kickoff through client acceptance, drive operational excellence, and build a high-performing implementation organization. Partner with Sales, Engineering, Technical Services, and Customer Success to qualify opportunities, produce SOWs and delivery plans, establish intake standards, and maintain visibility over timelines, risks, and milestones. Provide leadership to the Client Delivery Project Manager and implementation resources; drive adoption of structured project management tools (e.g., Jira); define and improve implementation methodologies; identify and resolve bottlenecks; collaborate with Platform and Infrastructure Engineering to improve automation and delivery efficiency; recruit, develop, coach, and retain talent; develop staffing and capability plans; monitor delivery KPIs and present metrics to leadership. Requires 7+ years in relevant technical services roles, 3+ years leadership, cloud, virtualization, networking, storage, backup/DR, security tech familiarity, and strong communication. Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. Certifications (preferred): PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM; VMware/Veeam/Cloud certifications are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, Technical Delivery, Implementation Management, or a related technical services environment
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical delivery, implementation, project management, or solutions engineering teams
- Experience supporting both pre-sales solutioning and post-sale implementation within a managed services, cloud services, or infrastructure services organization
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, networking, storage, backup and disaster recovery, and managed security services
- Experience designing, implementing, or improving delivery methodologies and operational processes within a growing organization
- Experience working across Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success functions
- Familiarity with Jira, Zendesk, Salesforce, Confluence, and related delivery management platforms
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent project management certification preferred
