Job Summary
Partner with organizational leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives and provide coaching on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning. Manage complex employee relations matters, oversee full-cycle recruitment, and lead onboarding programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Direct HR staff, optimize HR information systems, and analyze workforce data to support strategic decision-making and process improvements. Coordinate annual benefit renewals, conduct market compensation reviews, and maintain accurate employee records across the Axis Health System's behavioral health locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational leadership, or a related field
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience
- Two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience interpreting and applying employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience utilizing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Must have ability to sit for long periods of time at computer
- Must be able to travel between Axis locations
- Must be able to engage in occasional statewide and domestic travel
- Must have ability to lift and/or move 15 to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand or kneel
- Must be able to climb or balance and stoop
- Must have Annual Flu immunization by November 1
- Must have annual TB Screening
- Must have complete de-escalation training
- Must have BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of human resources principles, employment law, and compliance requirements
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technology systems
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels
- Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills
Desired Qualifications
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
- Healthcare, behavioral health, or community health center experience
- Experience leading HR projects, initiatives, or process improvement efforts
