Job Summary
Managerially oversee the HPD Referrals function as Administrative Community Relations Specialist (ACRS NM-I) within HRA/DSS Housing Services. Leads the HPD Packet review team, manages MIU Augmented set-asides and New Constructions, troubleshoots landlord documentation and HPD inspections, liaises with HPD/HRA/DHS shelter, ensures proper rental subsidies (City FHEPS, SOTA), provides QA of HPD packets, oversees payments to landlords, supervises staff, processes check requests, maintains CARES/NYCHA data, conducts regular staff meetings, trains on procedures, coordinates placement from shelters to permanent housing, monitors Travel Assistance Program contracts, and generates dashboards/reports for senior leadership. Hours: Monday–Friday 9am–5pm.
Required Qualifications
- 1) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and CHEA, and four years of satisfactory, full-time community liaison, community organization or community relations experience, at least two years in a broad administrative or policy-making capacity with responsibilities described in (1) above; or
- 2) A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's Department of Education and eight years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described in (1); or
- 3) Education and/or experience equivalent to (1) or (2) above, with approved substitutions as described (30 semester credits per year of experience up to 4 years; graduate substitutions up to 2 years) and a four-year high school diploma or equivalent plus two years of relevant administrative/policy-making experience
