Job Summary
Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments, manage equipment upkeep to meet health and safety standards, and inspect building structures for repairs. Supervise facilities staff and external contractors while controlling activities such as parking allocation, waste disposal, and security. Review utilities consumption to minimize costs, allocate office space, and handle service contracts. Maintain financial and non-financial records through analysis and forecasting. This role operates in an indoor office environment with physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Phoenix House of New York is a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a facilities manager or relevant position
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
- Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and leadership skills
- good analytical and critical thinking
- BS/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration, or relevant field
