Job Summary
Manage the Emergency Department's 24-hour administrative operations, including resource allocation, budget development, and fiscal accountability for nursing services. Define performance metrics, oversee disaster preparedness programs, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Lead staff through goal setting, problem-solving, and annual performance coaching while fostering a healthy work environment. Collaborate with medical and allied health teams to solve operational issues and drive quality improvement initiatives. Participate in hospital-wide committees and represent the Nursing Department to physicians and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing)
- Active California Registered Nurse license
Desired Qualifications
- BS in Nursing preferred
- MS desired (in administrative services preferred)
- 2 to 5 years of Emergency Room experience with progressive management responsibility is desired
- 2 to 5 years in an administrative management role desired, preferably with a volume greater than 25,000 visits/year in a hospital Emergency department
- ACLS, BCLS, NRP, PALS, MAB and Basic Dyshythmia Cert preffered
