Job Summary
Drive annual construction services revenue growth by prospecting, estimating, and closing Tenant Improvement opportunities for commercial and public sector clients. Source and manage a network of independent contractors while overseeing on-site operations, subcontractor progress, and safety compliance from kickoff to closeout. Deliver estimates within one week and maintain a gross margin of 15% across projects involving remediation, roofing, and construction cleaning. Partner with sales teams to cross-sell services and generate five new monthly opportunities from existing accounts. Manage project budgets, permitting, and OSHA standards to ensure 100% on-time, on-budget delivery with zero recordable safety incidents. Travel up to 70% locally to client sites and contractor meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field
- Active General Contractor (GC) certification/license
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, construction sales, or construction project management
- Specialized knowledge of commercial construction practices, including cost estimation, budgeting, subcontractor bidding, remediation (fire/flood/mold), roofing systems, and construction cleaning
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards, permitting, and building codes in KS-MO
- Demonstrated B2B sales and negotiation skills with the ability to build long-term client and contractor relationships
- Strong organizational, budgeting, and project management abilities; able to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
- Tenant Improvement and public sector experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), CRM systems, and Power BI
- Experience with project management or estimating software
