Job Summary

Develop and evaluate work plans for the Care Management area, ensuring ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and outcome measurement for all Case Management programs. Provide regular reports on clinical outcomes, identify cost-benefit opportunities for new programs, and assist in developing case management initiatives for new lines of business. Supervise and coach staff, make hiring and termination decisions, and set performance standards while managing staffing ratios and documentation consistency. Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer, Matrix partners, and state agencies to develop policies, procedures, and comprehensive training programs. Participate in administrative budget development and implement process improvement activities. Requires an active Rhode Island nursing or LICSW license, five years in clinical or operational management, and ability to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Rhode Island Nursing OR Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in good standing
  • Bachelor degree in health related field or in lieu of degree; Associate degree in Nursing with seven (7) years or more in supervisory role
  • Five (5) + years' experience in field of clinical, managed care and/or operational management
  • Five (5) + years supervisory experience
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to develop innovative programs and services
  • Well-developed organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to independently problem solve
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work extended hours including evenings, nights and weekends

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters degree
  • Certification as a Case Manager from an accredited Case Management program
  • Knowledge of state agencies and community family support resources
  • Bilingual
