Manager of Building Operations

Job Summary
Lead and manage capital and operational projects from planning through construction, commissioning, and closeout for the Brookfield and Youngstown locations. Coordinate all phases of construction and improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with budget, schedule, and operational priorities while managing vendor relationships focused on service quality and continuous improvement. Negotiate contracts with consultants and contractors to achieve best value, develop and forecast capital and operating budgets, and maintain working knowledge of building systems to support informed decision-making. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety standards, and internal policies while producing clear documentation including scopes of work and project reports. This role supports an aggressive production ramp plan within a company serving manufacturing industries with custom electrical and control panels since 1957.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in building operations, facilities management, construction management, or a related field
- Knowledge of building systems including regulatory requirements for utilities, fire, and security
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Experience managing capital projects, vendor contracts, and budgets in a complex or high-profile environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
- Time management skills

- Engineering degree or a minimum of 10+ years of experience in building operations, facilities management, construction management or a related field
