Job Summary
Manager of Aging Well Programming leads equitable, strengths-based programs for older adults and long-term survivors living with or affected by HIV. The Aging Well program supports participants’ well-being by fostering community, reducing isolation through connection and belonging, promoting health and wellness, and advocating for community needs. The role involves evaluating current programs, strengthening referral systems and partnerships, ensuring programming reflects the needs of older adults living with or affected by HIV, providing direct participant support, and planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating regular Aging Well activities. This is a full-time role based at the Davis St. Portland, OR location, with a schedule of 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday–Friday, and a mix of in-office and remote work (2-3 days in office, 2-3 days work from home) including some nights and weekends. You’ll participate in agency leadership and the management team, and contribute to CAP values, policies, and procedures while supporting graduates and community partners to reduce isolation and expand access to CAP services and resources.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field OR equivalent experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience working or volunteering in a human/social services or related field
- Previous professional or volunteer experience working with People Living with HIV, the LGBTQ+ community and older adults
- Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating group activities and events
- Experience working with people affected by isolation, grief, trauma, homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance addiction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with community partners and stakeholders
