Job Summary
Manager of Accounting role responsible for overseeing the accounting cycle across three transportation companies and a holding company, ensuring GAAP-compliant financial statements, coordinating the annual audit with external auditors, implementing internal controls, overseeing tax compliance, supporting treasury functions, analyzing financial data for strategic planning, and leading a team through budgeting, forecasting, and performance development; on-call night and weekend rotation every four weeks.
Required Qualifications
- CPA license
- 5-7 years of accounting experience
- at least 3 years in a managerial role
- experience in public accounting (preferably transportation industry)
- strong understanding of GAAP
- experience with accounting software McLeod and QuickBooks a plus
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
