Manager of Accounting

Job Summary
Oversee the month-end close process for inventory, fixed asset, and indirect tax areas, ensuring accurate reconciliations and timely deliverables. Establish internal controls on accounting processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and optimize inventory management practices. Provide guidance on capital projects, fixed asset accounting, and indirect tax compliance, while supporting external audit processes and managing tax research and budgets. Train and supervise a team of accounting professionals to ensure their success and professional growth. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, seven years of related experience, and two years of supervisory experience. Full-time employment includes medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Bachelor's degree - Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management
- MBA a plus
- Minimum of 7 years of related accounting/finance experience
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Ability to communicate and advocate accounting positions
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, and the ability to use these tools to create efficiencies
- Experience with financial accounting software and reporting tools
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
