Job Summary
Manager in nursing leadership at Ochsner Health overseeing unit responsibilities for practice, quality of care, and service delivery; provides leadership and support to encourage optimum development and performance of staff; manages personnel, supplies, and equipment in a cost-effective manner; requires RN licensure and BSN for Magnet facilities, with at least 3 years RN experience including 1 year in a leadership role; responsible for ensuring quality of care, patient satisfaction, budgeting and performance data, and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development and maintains required clinical knowledge, skills, training, and credentials; strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree Science of Nursing (BSN) required for all Ochsner Magnet Facilities
- 3 years of experience as an RN including 1 year as a charge nurse, supervisor or leader
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association
