Job Summary
Plan, supervise, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care, staff performance, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week for designated clinical areas. Work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum with minimal supervision required. This role supports the mission of caring for everyone, especially the most vulnerable in our communities, as part of a comprehensive health care organization serving over 50 hospitals across multiple states.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training: Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- Texas Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years Professional nursing experience.
- 2 years Clinical experience in specific clinical area.
Desired Qualifications
- Nursing Leadership and/or leadership certification.
- Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Admin., Business or related field.
- Specialty certification related to practice
- Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
- 3 years Supervisory/leadership experience.
