Job Summary
Coordinate and lead a nursing team to deliver patient care on assigned units with independent judgment and 24-hour accountability for clinical and operational matters. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Alaska RN license, BLS, and a Clinical Specialty certification within 1 year of hire, with at least 3 years of recent management or supervisory experience (charge nurse or similar experience may count for up to 2 years). The position is full-time, day shift, at Providence Alaska Medical Center, within Alaska’s hospital network, and emphasizes a culture of compassionate, ethical, patient-focused care. The successful candidate will provide staff leadership, ensure adherence to recognized care standards and models, and support mission-driven patient care objectives. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and additional management experience in similar-sized units.
