Job Summary
Oversee clinical and operational management of the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring 24/7 patient care delivery aligned with medical center standards. Establish and enforce nursing practice standards while developing unit-based quality improvement programs and monitoring metrics like NTSV. Coordinate daily patient care activities, conduct rounds, and intervene as needed for assigned patients and families. Manage staff retention by tracking turnover rates, interview and hire RNs and travelers, and coach staff through direct clinical participation. Collaborate with the L&D leadership team, clinical nurse specialists, and cultural navigators to implement DEI initiatives and evidence-based practice changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in BSN from an accredited school of nursing, or ADN and a commitment to obtain BSN within two years of date of hire
- Washington Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years of recent experience in related clinical area of nursing
- Must meet criteria of Registered Nurse
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
- 1 year First line management experience
