Job Summary
Lead and implement enterprise-wide nursing education, orientation, and professional development programs while maintaining clinical competency through site-based engagement, staff mentorship, and workflow observation. Develop and manage annual competency programs, including tracking, validation, and remediation, and partner with leadership to standardize nursing practices, policies, and clinical workflows. Collaborate on quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and post-incident education to ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements. Monitor and report on education, competency, and workforce metrics to drive continuous improvement. Support nursing leadership through coaching, onboarding, and team development.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- 3+ years of leadership/management experience
- Minimum five years of progressive nursing experience
- Minimum two years of leadership, education, or staff development experience
- Current BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Ambulatory care experience
- Prior experience in a social services or healthcare setting and/or a non-profit organization
- Proficiency in more than one language (e.g., Spanish/English)
